Performing a very Australian take on the all-time family classic, A Wizard in Aus, this is the second year that Ed has supported the work of this valuable foundation.
“Obviously this is something pretty different to playing footy, but the foundation is a great cause and I am happy to support them in any way I can,” he said.
“We have nearly finished all of our rehearsals and its shaping up to be a really fun and entertaining performance.”
Together with the amazing vocals and dance numbers, Ed said this jam-packed musical production promised to be a fantastic evening of entertainment.
A not-for-profit organisation, the N.I.C.K. Foundation - whose name stands for nurturing, independence, commitment and knowledge in our youth - was established three years ago in memory of 20 year-old Ivanhoe musician Nick Buttifant, who took his own life in February 2009.
The foundation was formed by three friends, one the father of Nick, whose dream is that the foundation will provide experiences to equip both young people and their parents with hope and belief in themselves and their futures.
A Wizard in Aus will be performed on Friday March 2 and Saturday March 3, at Melbourne University’s Union Theatre.
