CARLTON defender Lulu Beatty has been placed on the inactive list for the upcoming 2023 AFLW season.

Beatty has suffered a stress fracture of her tibia and has begun her recovery process with her current recovery timeline meaning she will be unavailable to play this season. She joins midfielder Maddy Guerin, who is continuing her rehabilitation, on the inactive list.

Carlton now has one list spot available to fill ahead of the start of their season on 2 September when it hosts Gold Coast at IKON Park.

“Given Lulu’s age, we wanted to make sure we took an approach that would ensure her longevity as an athlete,” Head of AFLW Ash Naulty said.

“We will work through the best rehabilitation for her and ensure Lulu incredibly well supported.”

Here's where things stand from a Carlton injury perspective leading into the season.
