Shaun Grigg and Mark Austin today signed new contracts with the Carlton Football Club, both re-signing until the end of 2010.
Grigg was Carlton's second round selection in the 2006 NAB AFL Draft. The left footer has played 20 senior games and has continued to impress in his second year of football.
Like Grigg, Austin was also taken by the Blues in the 2006 National Draft with selection 35 overall. The future key defender made his AFL debut in Round 22, 2007, and has played in the Blues past two matches this season.
“We are thrilled that both Shaun and Mark have pledged their commitment to Carlton in what is an important time in their playing careers,” said General Manager Football Operations, Steven Icke.
“The Club has made a commitment to provide the personnel and structure to continue the development of the playing group, both as individuals and as a team, and we believe Shaun and Mark are important players for the Carlton Football Club going forward,”
