Some favourites of yesteryear returned to IKON Park on Tuesday morning, mingling with the Carlton players of today.

The six former Blues - as well as their kids - shared breakfast with their modern day counterparts, exchanging stories with players they crossed paths with and connecting with new Blues for the first time.

For Heath Scotland, who brought his three children with him, the day was the perfect example of what the Club is doing to link all generations - past, present and future - of those United By Navy Blue.

“It’s been a great morning. The time goes by so quickly: you feel like you’re here and you were amongst each other yesterday, but some of these guys I haven’t seen for a few years,” Scotland said.

“It means a lot, it’s a big part of your life, your football journey. You probably take it for granted whilst you’re playing, and then you move on to other things. You’ve always got that connection to the football club.

“I’ve got three kids and they’ve been pestering me to come to training, they’re always talking about the players. For them to mingle with them, have some breakfast and a chat was thrilling for them.

“They won’t forget it, and neither will I.”
