CARLTON Reserves co-captain Lachie Young will represent Victoria as part of the VFL representative team in the game against the South Australian National Football League this weekend.

For the first time since 2016, the VFL and SANFL will face off against each other in a highly anticipated contest.

Glenelg’s Stratarama Stadium will become the home of the first men’s representative game in eight years reigniting the fierce rivalry between both teams.

Young played his first game for 2024 in the Carlton Reserves against North Melbourne last weekend, and has been selected as one of the 23 VFL players to represent Victoria in the game this Saturday.

After joining the Blues in the 2024 VFL season and having played 47 games previously in the AFL (Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne), it’s deserved recognition for Young and his contribution to the VFL.

He enjoyed a strong start to his Carlton Reserves career, accumulating 22 disposals and six marks for his new club on debut.

The game will take place this Saturday 6 April at Stratarama Stadium in Glenelg from 12:40pm local time (1:10pm AEDT).
