IN FRONT of another sold-out MCG crowd, tonight will mark another hotly contested clash between Carlton and Collingwood.

On the night, the Peter Mac Cup - currently in possession of the Blues after last year’s Round 20 triumph - will be awarded, continuing the longest-running charity game in VFL/AFL history between the two old enemies.

The game will also see the individual acknowledged as the best player on the ground be awarded with the Richard Pratt Medal.

It was Charlie Curnow who took the medal home last year, producing a match-winning six-goal performance which also yielded the three Brownlow votes.

The medal is named in honour of Pratt - a former player, committeeman, major donor and President of the Blues - for his overall contributions to the Carlton Football Club.

After a battle with prostate cancer, Pratt passed away back in 2009 — it was that year where the Blues, Pies and Pratt Foundation came together to honour him. The first Richard Pratt Medal was awarded in 2012.

The game serves as a reminder of the importance of early diagnosis, and encouraging regular check-ups where possible.

Tonight, all donations to Peter Mac will have double the impact. Thanks to the Pratt Foundation, every dollar donated tonight will be matched with a donation of the same amount, up to a total of $100,000. We encourage everyone to give generously for this incredible cause.
