Carlton CEO Greg Swann has asked management at the Dome foran explanation to the ticketing fiasco that left Carlton Social Club Membersshort of seats for Friday night’s game against Hawthorn. The Dome sold reservedseats into the Carlton Social Club Members reserved seating area on Fridaynight leaving a number of Social Club Members and their guests without a seatin the area designated exclusively for the Carlton Social Club.

“We are not sure how this happened but it was verydisappointing and we are seeking an explanation from the management at theDome. Importantly we need to be assured that this does not happen again,” saidGreg Swann.

Carlton Social Club members have a reserved seating areaoutside the Kernahan Room for all Carltonhome games at the Dome. This provides Social Club members and guests with aseating area close to the Social Club facilities enabling them to enjoy thefood, refreshments and entertainment in the Kernahan Room with seating nearby. Thisis a reserved seating area and it is not designated reserved seats as thisenables Social Club members to sit with their guests.

The issues from Friday night’s game were the result of amistake out of the control of the Carlton Football Club.

Unfortunately such a mistake impacts directly on the Cluband on the Social Club Members and guests. This issue resulted in a badexperience for a number of members and guests, adding to the disappointment ofthe on-field performance. It was a disappointing finish to a night that saw arecord crowd for an AFL game at the venue and Carlton announce a new record membership ofover 35,000.
