THERE IS a nostalgic theme to the 2025 AFLW fixture.

With four of six home games kicking off in the afternoon, the Navy Blue faithful will be able to enjoy creating Carlton memories together at IKON Park, the traditional home.

Back-to-back Saturday afternoon fixtures in Rounds 4 (v Western Bulldogs) and 5 (v Gold Coast Suns), a Sunday afternoon against GWS in Round 11 and a Friday 5pm bounce against Fremantle on the Grand Final Eve public holiday all provide the chance for friends and families to venture down Royal Parade.

As does the blockbuster season opener against Collingwood on Thursday 14 August, in what will be a marquee, standalone fixture with no AFL game on that night.

In an AFLW-first, the league will extend Pride Round across two weeks (Rounds 9 and 10) in a celebration of respect, diversity and inclusion across the fortnight.

An away trip to face Sydney at Henson Park will then see the Blues host their Pride Game against St Kilda in Round 10 under the Saturday night lights.

The first of three interstate trips for the Blues will be an historical one, with the Club to play its first ever game in Brisbane for AFLW points as they face the Lions in Round 3.

This will be the first game as part of Indigenous Rounds that will span across Rounds 3 and 4, with the Blues then heading home to IKON Park to take on the Bulldogs in a guernsey proudly worn across all four programs.

Among the key highlights of the fixture is the AFLW Carlton Respects Game, with the scheduled round to be announced at a later date.

From a broadcast perspective, the Blues will see an even split with six games on free-to-air TV (Channel 7), including four consecutive games from Rounds eight to 11, with the remaining six matches live on Fox Footy.

Details for the Club’s Round 12 clash with the West Coast Eagles at Leederville Oval will be confirmed towards the end of the season.

Carlton CEO Brian Cook said the Club was delighted with a fixture that allows Carlton friends and families to come together as one at their traditional home.

“IKON Park is home for Carlton people, so for us to have an AFLW fixture that allows us to come together here, with timeslots that cater for as many of us as possible is really pleasing,” Cook said.

“To be able to come down to our home and spend an afternoon with family and friends watching the footy, we want to provide every member and supporter with the chance to create Carlton memories at a place that is special to so many.

“We also are starting to see our AFLW group emerge with talent that we know will shape the direction of this side over the next decade.

“Led by Abbie McKay who was announced as captain during the week, along with the likes of her sister Sophie, Mimi Hill, Kelley Sherar just to name a few – the evolution of this playing group is going to be exciting to watch, and we hope as many Carlton people as possible are part of that journey with this side in 2025.

“Round 1 will be massive to get things started – traditional rivals, at our traditional home, in a fixture that holds so much historical significance for the AFLW competition. It is set to be a special night, one that cannot come quick enough – 76 days and counting.”
