Trindade named VFLW Best and Fairest.
Carlton VFLW Amy Trindade has taken out the top prize in 2025, earning the Carlton VFLW best and fairest award. Featuring in all but one match, Trindade polled a total of 83 votes during the home-and-away season, known for her drive for the ball and competitive mindset.
Averaging 21 disposals per game, Trindade’s football IQ was on show throughout, with her ability to not only find the ball but also dispose effectively and efficiently.
The 19-year old was a dominant and consistent player for the Blues, this was evident in the round two match against Geelong where she collected 30-disposals and laid eight tackles.
Coming in second place, behind Trindade, Carlton midfielder Hannah Scott who was a force to be reckoned with in the Blues midfield this season polling 51 votes.
A standout in the Blues clash against Darebin Falcons, Scott ended the match with 23 disposals and nine tackles.
Scott only in her second season of VFLW after coming from the Northern Knights, but has sure made her mark in the competition.
Joining fellow midfielder Scott, Nadia Von Bertouch followed with a third-place in the Best and Fairest, featuring in nine games for the Blues and polling 46 votes.
Joining the Carlton this season, coming across from Box Hill Hawks VFLW, Von Bertouch brought a high level experience, playing in her 50th game this year, and leadership was a invaluable asset to a young Blues side.
Von Bertouch showed up for the Blues 24/7, as a senior player that could be looked up to from all team members.
Emerging player Mary Robinson has been named as the Best Young Player for the Blues in 2025, after making her debut in the Round 5 match against Darebin Falcons.
Robinson went on to feature in nine games for the Blues this season, with her defensive flair and composure making her a player to watch out for in the future.
