CARLTON has announced its newest debutant ahead of Saturday's clash with the Gold Coast SUNS.
Irish rookie Aisling Reidy is confirmed to play her first game in this week's Round 5 clash at IKON Park.
Reidy signed on last December alongside fellow Gaelic teammate Siofra O'Connell to Carlton’s AFLW rookie list for the 2025 season.
Both players are originally from County Clare in Ireland, where they played Gaelic for Doora-Barefield before being scouted to join the Blues.
Warming up into the AFL, Reidy played numerous VFLW games in the second half of the 2025 season. The 22 year old is a powerful midfielder who can attack the game from all angles.
Reidy is incredibly athletic becoming known for her speed and endurance as a midfielder which shined throughout her Gaelic career.
Come Saturday, Reidy will be making her AFL debut at home to face the SUNS.
Carlton will announce it's final team on Thursday at 6:20pm (AEST).
