THE Carlton Football Club have acquired an additional first-round selection this year plus a future second-round pick through a trade with North Melbourne on the second day of the 2025 AFLW Trade Period.
In their first deal of 2025, the Blues sent North Melbourne their future first and third-round selections in exchange for pick No.19 in this year’s draft, as well as North Melbourne’s 2026 second-round selection.
Granting the Blues greater flexibility for this year’s off-season exchange period, the Blues currently hold two first-round selections - picks Nos.16 and 19 - in this year’s draft.
This year marks the first season where future pick swaps are permitted in the AFL competition. The AFLW Trade Period closes on Wednesday 10 December.
