CARLTON has welcomed back a quartet of Blues for the Round 8 clash with St Kilda.
In the Blues’ first Marvel Stadium home game for 2026, the hosts will welcome back some key experience against some familiar faces on Saturday night.
After getting through training on Wednesday, Harry McKay and Marc Pittonet will both return to the fold after missing the trip to Perth to take on Fremantle.
McKay provides the Blues with a key target forward of the ball against a St Kilda backline featuring ex-Blue Jack Silvagni, while Pittonet will go head-to-head against former sparring partner Tom De Koning in the ruck.
Complementing their aerial presence is the running power of the returning Ollie Hollands and Adam Saad.
Hollands rejoins the Carlton team after being managed last weekend, while Saad has been named for his first AFL game since Opening Round.
The veteran has enjoyed some standout form in the VFL in recent weeks, averaging just shy of 25 disposals per game with VFL Senior Coach Damian Truslove highlighting his leadership and bounce from half-back.
Saad will have a key role to play in defence for the Blues against a dangerous forward line, after the Saints produced their highest score in 10 years last weekend in a 101-point win over West Coast.
Coming out of the side are the omitted Talor Byrne, Cooper Lord, Ashton Moir and Lewis Young.
Francis Evans will play his 50th AFL game when the Blues take on the Saints, with the Brunswick boy starting his career with Geelong and later Port Adelaide before finding a home at Carlton at the beginning of 2025.
