One of the truly appealing aspects of the Spirit Of Carlton’s Annual Luncheon is that it brings together the greats of this football club’s past and present with members and supporters who have for years lauded their feats from behind the pickets on match days.

So it is again with the 2026 edition celebrating Carlton’s Best & Fairest recipients across eight decades under the ‘Club Champions’ banner - from the oldest surviving winner to the most recently crowned.

A host of Best & Fairest players - from John Nicholls (1959) through to the most recently crowned John Nicholls Medallist George Hewett (2025) - will be in the house.

Nicholls, as a five-time winner, will be joined by the current Carlton Captain Patrick Cripps - the only other player with five B&F baubles hanging from his neck - and Cripps will be breaking bread with all of this Club’s currently-listed AFL players.

Previous winners Peter ‘Percy’ Jones, Geoff Southby, Jim Buckley, Wayne Johnston, Stephen Kernahan, Greg Williams and Dayna Finn will also be in attendance, in one of the blue ribbon events of the crammed Carlton Football Club social calendar.

The Spirit of Carlton Club Annual Luncheon will be held in the Victory Room, Marvel Stadium, on Friday, 31 July, commencing 12pm. Tickets are available at $230 per person or $275pp to be seated with a present player.
