A HANDFUL of Carlton players were once again among the votes in Saturday night’s win over Richmond.

It was no surprise who achieved the one-two from a majority votes perspective, with the midfield combination of George Hewett and Jagga Smith unmissable in the coaches’ eyes.

Hewett was the unanimous pick as the best player on the ground with 10 votes, collecting 26 disposals and kicking two goals, including the major in the final term which proved to be telling in the two-point victory.

He was closely followed by Smith, who collected game-highs in both disposals (29) and score involvements (nine) in another accomplished display.

Adam Cerra (two votes), Francis Evans and Patrick Cripps (one) rounded out the votes from a Carlton perspective.

Cerra stood out with his ball use on the wing, particularly in a brilliant first half, while Evans’ pressure and Cripps’ typical combativeness was also noticeable in Carlton’s seventh consecutive win.
