A TRIPLE treat.
Three new recruits will represent Carlton for the first time when the Blues open the AFLW season this Sunday.
Taking on St Kilda at Marvel Stadium as part of a double header, the Blues have confirmed the trio of players who will play open their Navy Blue accounts this weekend.
Recruited from Adelaide at the end of last season, youngster Brooke Boileau will officially become Carlton debutant No.100.
A former Rising Star nominee who played every game for the Crows last season, Boileau wears the No.22 guernsey and is capable of playing a number of mid-forward roles.
Nell Morris-Dalton’s rapidly evolving Carlton journey will see her play for her third club, just a week after being confirmed as a new Blue.
The former Dog and Pie signed for the Blues as an injury replacement player, with the key forward a mainstay of Carlton’s VFLW side prior to signing on with the AFLW Blues.
Rounding out the Club debutants is Claudia Whitfort, with the experienced midfielder to provide a point of difference to the Blues’ midfield.
The former Gold Coast best and fairest winner crossed to the Blues at the end of last year, and with over 50 games of AFLW experience, has enjoyed a pair of excellent pre-season hitouts in the lead-up to the season.
The Blues will announce their extended squad at 6:20pm on Thursday night, before confirming their final side on Friday at 5pm.
