A Navy Blue legacy becomes even more iconic.
The 2026 AFLW Hyundai Bobblehead will be dedicated to captain Abbie McKay, available for collection at IKON Park this Sunday!
“I have been a Carlton person my whole life.”
It was written in the stars when McKay became the AFLW competition’s first ever father-daughter recruit when selected with pick No.16 in 2018.
Upon her arrival at IKON Park, it was incredibly fitting that the No.5 locker happened to be vacant, opening the door for the second-generation McKay to continue her dad Andrew’s legacy - while writing her own story - in the Old Dark Navy Blue.
McKay continues to blaze her own trail at Carlton, becoming the youngest Blue at the time to reach 50 AFLW games, before achieving a seminal moment in the game’s history.
Leading into the 2025 campaign, McKay was named Carlton captain, joining her dad as the first father-daughter combination to lead their respective AFL and AFLW sides.
The fact that McKay first game as the Club’s official captain coincided with sister Sophie’s AFLW debut was the icing on the Navy Blue cake.
All the details to collect an Abbie McKay Hyundai Bobblehead this Sunday!
- Collection begins from 2pm at Gate 6 at the IKON Park. Once the game starts, the giveaway will be moved to the Junior 'Baggers zone.
- Limited stock, so arrive early to avoid disappointment!
- Limit of one per person: if you want a Bobblehead, you must line up for yourself. You cannot get someone to collect a Bobblehead on your behalf.
- This will be a free giveaway, in conjunction with Club Co-Major partner, Hyundai.
