SATURDAY night finals footy.
The AFL has confirmed details of the wildcard final clash between Melbourne and Carlton.
Taking place at the home of football, the MCG encounter is locked in for the night of Saturday 29 August.
Kicking off from 7:35pm, it’ll be the 10th final between the two traditional clubs, and will take place 111 years (and one day) after the first.
Of course, there’s more recent finals history between these two sides, with a famous two-point victory to the Blues in the 2023 semi final.
That’ll matter little when two vastly different sides run out onto the MCG next weekend, looking to keep their seasons alive in a memorable 2026 campaign.
Tickets for competing club members will go on sale from 10am-2pm on Wednesday 26 August, before opening for the general public at 3pm (unless sold out prior). AFL Member tickets will be also be available on Wednesday from 12pm.
