CARLTON's new AFL Operations Assistant role, open exclusively to Carlton College of Sport graduates, will support the Club's AFL program across areas including, training and coaching support, travel and accommodation coordination, apparel management, player appearances and match-day support. 

Carlton College of Sport is a joint venture between Carlton Football Club and La Trobe University. Students graduate with a nationally recognised higher education diploma, plus 100 hours of placement to gain real-life experience and a professional network, working in sport.  

The graduate filling this role will join three other students taking up full-time positions across the Club: 

Corporate Sales Administrator: Placed in the Commercial Operations team, supporting Carlton's corporate sales program through strong administrative and operational foundations. 

CCoS Operations and Recruitment Assistant: Play a key role in the day-to-day running of the College, supporting students through their year and helping recruit the next generation through school visits, open days, and career exhibitions. 

Membership Sales Officer: Help Carlton grow and retain one of the AFL's largest membership bases, building genuine connections with Blues fans. 

Carlton has committed to hiring students into full-time roles since 2019, with more than 30 students employed across the Club in departments including Membership, Fan Engagement, Community, Partnerships, Corporate Sales, Media and Communications, Retail, Recruitment and Football Operations. 

Graduating students have also gone on to make their mark elsewhere in the industry, with alumni employed by organisations including the AFL, AFL Victoria, Cricket Australia, Melbourne Victory, Melbourne Mavericks (SEN), Victoria Racing Club, La Trobe Sport, the Australian Grand Prix, and AFL clubs such as the Western Bulldogs, Richmond, Melbourne and Geelong.
