On the morale of the group post-loss

"The morale of the group is fine. We know we were outplayed today by a team that played really well. We weren't at the level, but we take lessons from this. We've been fortunate enough and played well enough throughout the year to earn a top four spot, so you dust yourself off and get ready for next week."

On the first quarter 

"The first quarter was good, held up really well, thought we really competed at the contest and had some opportunities in our forward fifty and couldn't quite capitalise from there. North had a great second quarter and we had a poor one, where they kicked four on us.

"I've got a really resilient group, and a group that will stick together so there's no question around that. I spoke to them that we've earnt the right to have another game which is fantastic. We will take the lessons from this game and see where we didn't shape up and go to work on those. We'll accept we weren't at the level today, but we won't accept that - we will move forward." 

On the half time message 

"We identified what we got wrong in the second quarter, and made sure we went to work on that. If you become irrelevant with your positioning North will capitalise again and again. Then our players tried very hard, and North really exposed us in the middle of the ground.

"We tried to address that at half time and tried to steady that ship, but it didn't really help us going inside 50 - we failed to connect and hit the scoreboard the way we would've liked to."

"I've grown with this group and I'll continue to grow with this group and what I know if they'll respond to instruction, and we talk about love and making sure we can come together and make the sacrifices we need to."

On Ciara Fitzgerald's injury

"We lost a little of drive off our half back when we Fitzy came out of the game. A corked shin I'm told at the moment, so not sure of the severity but I guess we will find out during the week."

On the forward line

"Our forward line is not getting the job done over the last couple of weeks, we need to ensure we are getting more marks inside our fifty more than we got today. 10-2 is not going to get the job done, so the ability to connect is a whole team-encompassing one, but when you get your opportunity you've got to be able to take it. Today we weren't able to do that, and the Kangaroos were excellent at that."
