Bluebaggers, the wait is over – AFLW game day has arrived!

Carlton takes on Collingwood tonight at our spiritual home – Ikon Park.

With the match kicking off at 7:45pm, make sure you arrive early to secure your seat and cheer our Game Changers, led onto the field by captain Lauren Arnell and our first-ever mascot Olivia Brown.

Forecast for Friday in Melbourne:

Early cloud clearing to a sunny afternoon – top of 27 degrees.

The majority of the ground has grandstand seating protected from rain.

General information:

Food and drink will be available for purchase however water and homemade food can also be brought into the ground.

The AFL record will be free so be sure to grab yourself a copy before the match.

Also, after the final siren spectators will be able to head out on to the ground for kick-to-kick.

The first 1,864 people through the gates at the inaugural AFLW season opener will receive a FREE, limited edition game-day poster available from Gate 5.

Also, to mark the first-ever AFLW match, the AFL will be handing out a limited number of commemorative pins.

Ticketing:

All stand-alone women’s games in 2017 will be free of charge so gather your friends and come along to support the girls in their inaugural season. 

Gate opening:

You can enter via Gate 5 and 6.

Gates open at 5:30pm.

Disability access to the venue is through Gate 5.
 

Car parking:

Limited on-street parking, but the nearby Melbourne Zoo charges $2.00 four/five-hour parking.

Public transport:

Public transport is recommended as the best way to get to Ikon Park on event days.
