EDDIE Betts’ influence at Carlton goes far beyond the numbers — but we’ve tried to sum it up anyway.

Here are the key stats behind his return to Ikon Park ahead of 2020.

6 — The amount of Carlton-listed players he has been teammates with. Since departing in 2013, there have been wholesome changes at Ikon Park: Kade Simpson, Marc Murphy, Matthew Kreuzer, Ed Curnow and Levi Casboult are the only players he’s been teammates with in Navy Blue. Then there’s Mitch McGovern, who Betts played alongside for three seasons at West Lakes.

8 — While Betts’ best return in a season was his 75 for Adelaide in 2016, his career-best game remains in Navy Blue. Up against Essendon in 2011, Betts kicked eight goals against the arch-rivals, with his third-quarter solo goal the pick of the bunch.

19 — Betts surpassed eventual Club President Ian Collins as the games record holder in the No.19 guernsey back in 2012. With 184 games to his name, Betts’ name is well and truly on the locker — it hasn’t gone unnoticed that there’s currently a vacancy.

61 — The amount of players to debut for Carlton since Eddie’s departure. Included in that list are co-captains Patrick Cripps and Sam Docherty, NAB AFL Rising Star Sam Walsh and first-round draft selections Jacob Weitering, Harry McKay, Charlie Curnow, Sam Petrevski-Seton, Paddy Dow and Lochie O’Brien. Own the future.

176 — The amount of times Betts has been a teammate with Kade Simpson. It’s even more impressive when you consider that…

184 — The amount of times Betts has played for Carlton. On only eight occasions has Betts ran out in Navy Blue without the No.6 alongside him.

202 — Prior to departing for West Lakes, Betts was on track to become the first Indigenous 200-gamer for Carlton. Andrew Walker ultimately achieved the feat before retiring on 202 games: Betts is sure to have the record in sight.

290 — The tally of Betts’ goals in Navy Blue… and counting. Few will be met with the roar  that is going to come when Betts records his first goal in his second coming. Speaking of…

2222 — The days since his last Carlton game. Bring on game No.185.
