Congratulations to the Waverley Blues Football Club, who were the lucky winners of the Carlton Football Clubs, Jumpers for Juniors Program.

As part of their prize, more than 40 buddying young footballers from the amateur club were given the opportunity to hit the track at Visy Park for a special training session led by Carlton’s Assistant Coach, Mark Riley.

They were also treated to a behind the scenes look at the Visy Park facility to see where the Blues, train, recover and play in the lead up to games.

Mark said the unique program was established as a means of lending support to northern region junior football clubs.

“Aside from the major prize winner, all clubs that entered the program were provided with a signed jumper to use at their disposal,” he said.

“Whether through auctions, charity functions, fundraisers or display, the program encompasses the Carlton Football Club’s commitment to the community at the grass roots level”.
Even though the program has officially finished, registered clubs can continue to recruit their players by clicking here.
