The Carlton Football Club welcomed more than 100 Melbourne University students from across the globe at a special International Super Clinic at Visy Park today.

Led by various Blues players and representatives from SEDA, the students were given the opportunity to learn our game on one of the most iconic football grounds in Australia.

Carlton Fan Development and Community Manager, Yuta Kobayashi said the aim of the day was to offer students a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of AFL.

“Most of the students out here today don’t really know much about AFL, let alone seen or touched a footy, so this is a firsthand experience to learn the game,” he said.

“The students are from all over the world, including India, China and the USA and over the hour long session were able to try their hand at various goal kicking, handballing and tackling drills.”

As part of the clinic, all students will be special guests of the Football Club for this Saturday’s Round 20 clash against Melbourne.

The International Super Clinic is part of the Carlton Football Community Fund to  which aims to helps integrate migrants and international students into Australian society.
