JESS Edwards will run out on Whitten Oval in her first game of 2020 on Saturday afternoon.

The second-year defender will come into the side for the Pride Game, replacing Joanne Doonan who has been omitted for this week’s clash.

Edwards played seven games in her first year in Navy Blue, averaging 10 disposals a match in her role as a running half-back.

Carlton will benefit from Edwards’ experience and leadership, the defender captained North Adelaide’s inaugural SANFL side in 2017.

With just the one change heading into the Round 3 clash, the Blues will have the advantage of consistency coming up against Bulldogs.

New Blues Grace Egan and Vaomua Laloifi have maintained their spots in the side for another week, Laloifi manning the backline with Egan named in the centre.

Bluebaggers will be eager to see how Egan fairs after a breakout performance against Collingwood in Round 2, the youngster collecting 18 disposals and 11 tackles.

Brooke Vernon and Courtney Jones have been named as emergencies for clash, both pushing for selection after impressive performances in Carlton’s first VFLW practice match.

Carlton will run out wearing its team-designed Pride Guernsey on Saturday afternoon, with a limited number available for purchase ahead of the clash.

Saturdays match at Whitten Oval begins from 3:10pm.
