After securing four new recruits in last week’s NAB AFL National Draft, Carlton will look to add to its list again tomorrow.

The NAB AFL Preseason and Rookie Drafts are being held on Wednesday morning.

Unlike the fanfare that took place on the Gold Coast for the national draft, the preseason and rookie drafts are held in electronic fashion, with the 18 clubs connected to the AFL in a conference call.

Carlton will be looking to secure five more players. The Blues plan to use four selections on rookie recruits, including adding a Category B rookie through the selection of Fraser Russell at pick 58.

Meanwhile Carlton is hoping to pick up former Western Bulldog Jason Tutt in the preseason draft.

The 23-year-old half-forward, who has been training with the Blues for the past fortnight, has played 26 AFL games since being recruited by the Bulldogs in the 2009 national draft.

Carlton had tried to secure Tutt during the trade period but a deal couldn’t be reached.
