A PERFECT 10 for Ed.

Unsurprisingly, Ed Curnow received the maximum acclaim from the coaches for his showing against Fremantle.

In perfect conditions for the combative midfielder, Curnow was a driving force in Carlton’s come-from-behind win.

With 33 disposals, 16 contested possessions and 10 clearances, Curnow was the clear best-on-ground in the engrossing win at Optus Stadium.

It was the second straight season that Curnow polled the most votes of anyone on the ground against Fremantle at Optus Stadium, sharing the maximum votes with Marc Murphy in 2019.

Curnow wasn’t alone, with his two midfield mates also among the votes.

Co-captain Patrick Cripps (three votes) polled for the third consecutive game after a physical showing in the West, accumulating 20 contested possessions - his most for the season - and eight clearances.

Rounding things out was Sam Walsh, who recorded two votes for his performance on the wing. With 24 disposals and a goal, it was the third time in five weeks the 2019 NAB AFL Rising Star has featured in the votes.
