The game in focus:

Another important game for Carlton looms, with the Blues not willing to give up hope of a finals berth.

GWS is coming off a big win against Fremantle, while Carlton is looking to redeem itself after a disappointing loss to Collingwood.

Coming off a four-day break, endurance and composure will be the big challenges for the Carlton side, who haven’t played off such a short break this year.

Blue focus:

While Giants star Josh Kelly is out of their line-up, Carlton’s midfielder will still have a big test on their hands.

The midfield group of Patrick Cripps, Ed Curnow and Will Setterfield will be looking to have a greater impact in terms of clearances and winning the ball in the contest.

It’ll be key for the respective midfields to rise to the occasion, with both teams having tall forwards who thrive off quick ball movement.

On the back of four goals last week, Jeremy Cameron will keep defenders busy, with the likes of Jacob Weitering and Liam Jones to lead the charge for the Blues.

Get excited about:

Mitch McGovern returns for the Blues after a stint on the sidelines due to injury.

Alongside Levi Casboult and Harry McKay, McGovern will add some height and a key link in offence.

Averaging a goal a game this season, McGovern is ranked No.7 in the competition for average goal assists in 2020.

Carlton has averaged three extra goals a game with McGovern in the side this year compared to when he was on the sidelines.
