CARLTON will take on Richmond at Ikon Park this afternoon for just the second time in the short history of these two sides.

In what is sure to be a fiery contest - not just due to the hot weather - the Blues will be looking to get their second win on the board and over Richmond.

This game also signifies Carlton's fifth year of the Carlton Respects program, where the Blues will paint Ikon Park orange as they advocate for gender equality and ending violence against women.

Details: Ikon Park, Saturday 20 February, 3.10 AEDT.
Broadcast: AFLW app, Kayo, Fox Footy, womens.afl, SEN 1116

The game in focus:

After an all-round dominant performance against the Saints last week, the Blues will be looking to back it up with another positive performance.

The last time Carlton faced Richmond was in the Tigers very first AFLW game and it's safe to say they've had a bit more experience since then.

With young guns Grace Egan and Abbie McKay stepping up last week to assist Maddy Prespakis in the midfield, it will be interesting to see if the trio can bring the same heat this weekend.

With the Blues playing a fast handball game, it will be up to them to keep the ball in their control and make some impact on the scoreboard early.

What to watch:

Everyone's looking forward to the battle of the Hosking twins, with Jess and Sarah lining up against each other for the first time in their AFLW careers.

It will be an unusual feeling for Bluebaggers to see the twins on opposing sides, but if the lead up is any indication, it promises to be an interesting battle.

Elise O'Dea had a day out last round against the Saints, taking the game on from both ends of the ground, while Prespakis was utilised through the middle and up forward.

Keep an eye on these two stars, as their impact can never be understated.

Blue view:

The Carlton Respects game is one that all Blues fans mark on their calendars.

For the fourth consecutive season the Game Changers will run out in orange socks, the international colour of harmony, in what has now become a recognisable sign of the Club’s profound commitment to promoting gender equality for the prevention of violence against women.

If you are heading to the game today, make sure you add a touch of orange to your Navy Blue kit.
