CARLTON’S AFL side will be put through their paces for the first time tomorrow against external opposition this year.

And with the game being live-streamed to Carlton members tomorrow, there’s naturally plenty of excitement in the air ahead of the clash with Essendon.

Here are the answers to the questions which have come through on social media over the past few days.

Given the match is on Thursday at 11am, will a replay be available on the website?
We’re pleased to confirm that yes, a full match replay will be uploaded to the Carlton website after the conclusion of the practice match.

How can supporters tune in?
While the stream itself is member-exclusive, there will be plenty of coverage for Carlton supporters everywhere. The full match replay will be available to the public, as will extensive highlights from the game.

Make sure to follow Carlton’s social media pages - in particular, its Instagram and Twitter - for live coverage throughout the day.

I’m a Carlton member, how can I watch the live stream?
Check your email inbox! Carlton members should be getting their member-exclusive link from 5pm.

I’m an AFL member with Carlton club support: will I be able to tune into the live stream tomorrow?
Yes!

Why are there no crowds allowed?
As per an AFL directive, there will be no crowds at this opening practice match between Carlton and Essendon.

However, fans will be able to attend the Blues’ AAMI Community Series opener against St Kilda next Thursday night (4 March) at Marvel Stadium.

Who is playing tomorrow?
Hang tight. The squad for tomorrow’s game will be announced prior to the bounce at 11am: Jacob Weitering said earlier this week he expected the Blues to take in a strong side tomorrow.

Who won’t be playing tomorrow?
A few names were ruled out earlier in the week. Make sure you check out Director of High Performance Andrew Russell’s injury report for all of the details.

Can train-on players feature in this practice match?
Yes: train-on players can play for their respective sides both in tomorrow’s practice match or in the AAMI Community Series.
