TWO new Blues.
Carlton Senior Coach David Teague has confirmed that recruits Lachie Fogarty and Adam Saad will run out in the Navy Blue tomorrow night.
After arriving from Geelong and Essendon respectively in the 2020 Trade Period, Fogarty and Saad will get their first taste of Carlton action tomorrow night.
Both players have been constant faces on the track for the Blues in pre-season, with the duo impressing across the team’s two pre-season hitouts against Essendon and St Kilda.
Saad starred against his former side at Ikon Park, showcasing his customary dash and rebound, while Fogarty produced five tackles inside 50 against the Saints.
Speaking to media on Wednesday morning, Teague said the duo had earned their place after taking to their new surrounds seamlessly since day one.
“Fogarty and Adam Saad will both debut for Carlton Football Club this weekend which is very exciting,” he said.
“[Fogarty’s] pressure and the way he’s played, his ability to hold balance and give some really good system ahead of the ball and on ball has been very good for us.”
Carlton’s full team will be announced at 6:20pm tonight.
