WITH just two rounds left in the AFLW competition Carlton will be looking for a strong finish to 2021.

Heading up to the Queensland to face Gold Coast Suns for the first time in the Club's history, Carlton will be eager to record its fourth win of the year.

Here is everything you need to know before the first bounce.

Details: Metricon Stadium, Friday 19 March, 5.10pm AEST
Broadcast: Fox Footy, womens.afl, AFLW app, Kayo

The game in focus:

Carlton will be eager to make up for last week's efforts: a strong performance against Fremantle amounting to a disappointing loss in the last five minutes of the clash.

While finals appears out of reach for the 2021 Blues, the side will be looking to record a strong finish and build confidence as a unit.

Carlton played some dominant footy against Fremantle last week, and will be looking to continue that form against a winless Gold Coast side.

What to watch:

Nicola Stevens has become one of Carlton’s most pivotal players through the 2021 season.

Stevens has become a dangerous presence in the forward 50, whether it is setting up goals, scoring or piling on the forward pressure.

Breann Moody has been prolific as ever in the ruck, setting up centre clearances and winning the majority of hit-outs for the 2021 season.

With so many emerging youngsters on Carlton’s list, it’s great to see some of the more experienced players performing week in and week out.

Blue view:

This will be the first time that Carlton takes on Gold Coast in the AFLW competition.

Taking on the Suns on their home turf won’t be easy, but the Blues will be up to the challenge of a clash away from home.

It is sure to be an interesting match-up as footy fans get their second dose of Carlton footy in two days.
