CARLTON has welcomed back a pair of youngsters for tomorrow’s clash with Brisbane at Marvel Stadium.

The Blues have named both David Cuningham and Liam Stocker for their first games of the season, after the duo starred for Carlton’s VFL opener last weekend.

Stocker collected 38 disposals playing across half back, while Cuningham recorded 28 disposals and a goal in his return from a concussion.

They have been rewarded for their strong reserves form with selection in the senior side, with tomorrow to mark Stocker’s first game since Round 11 of 2019.

The pair have replaced Matthew Kennedy and Tom Williamson (both omitted) in the starting line-up.

Kennedy and Williamson have been named as two of Carlton’s four emergencies, alongside last week’s medical sub Paddy Dow and Matthew Owies. The Blues will name their medical sub an hour before the bounce.

The game against the Lions will see Eddie Betts break the Indigenous games record at the Carlton Football Club, with his 203rd game in the Navy Blue to eclipse Andrew Walker’s 202.
