HARRY McKay and Nic Newman will be good to go for Saturday’s trip to Giants Stadium.

Both players came from the field early in the last clash with West Coast due to concussion, with McKay subbed out in the first quarter before Newman was assisted off in the third term.

Having completed the mandatory 12-day protocol, Director of High Performance Andrew Russell confirmed both players would be fit for the clash with the Giants.

“Both Harry McKay and Nic Newman settled down really well,” Russell said.

“We followed the 12-day protocol. They’ve been cleared to play, they trained fully today and we’ll see them out there on the weekend.”

Joining them as available Blues are Lachie Fogarty - who was managed in Round 12 - and Corey Durdin, who is due to return in the VFL following a hamstring injury.

Two Blues who will be unavailable are Michael Gibbons and Lachie Plowman, sidelined due to hamstring and knee niggles respectively.

Both players are expected to be available for selection next week against Adelaide.
