CARLTON has named its VFL squad to take on the Northern Bullants this Sunday.

Returning to the familiar surrounds of Preston City Oval, the Blues have named 11 AFL-listed players for the Round 11 clash.

Luke Parks returns to the VFL fold after featuring at senior level last week, joining the likes of Brodie Kemp and Tom Williamson to provide a sure head in defence.

Parks’ aerial ability will be an important asset for the Carlton Reserves, who have lost Levi Casboult (suspension) and Alex Mirkov (injury) at the selection table. 

Young midfielder Sam Ramsay will also feature at VFL level for the first time in over a month after being the travelling emergency for the AFL side last weekend.

The dangerous Josh Honey and VFL-listed Ben Crocker have been named in attack once more after contributing half of Carlton’s 12 goals in last week’s win over Port Melbourne.

Covering for the loss of height in the ruck will be Luke Goetz, with the former Western Bulldogs rookie to make his VFL debut for the Blues.

He won’t be alone, with Northern Knight Joel Trudgeon to also get a taste of VFL action this Sunday.

After his best performance of the season last week, Jack Carroll has been named in Carlton’s starting midfield.

One of Matthew Cottrell, Honey, Nic Newman and Lochie O’Brien will come out of the selected squad as they take their place as Carlton’s medical sub at AFL level.

Sunday’s clash begins at 1:05pm from Preston City Oval, with the game able to be streamed via Kayo Freebies.
