THE team has been confirmed for Carlton's clash with Coburg on Saturday.

In a largely unchanged line-up, debutant David Handley will line up for the Carlton Reserves after being signed earlier this week.

He will be joined by fellow recent signing Luke Goetz, who'll play his second game for the side when he lines up as the primary ruckman in the absence of Alex Mirkov (knee).

There'll be two club debutants this week, with Zavier Maher to run out with the VFL side for the first time this season after enjoying an impressive campaign with the Shepparton United seniors.

Carlton will field eight AFL-listed players, with one of Matt Cottrell, Josh Honey, Luke Parks or Lochie O'Brien to come out of the selected side to be the medical sub for the AFL team.

Brodie Kemp, Parks and Sam Ramsay will hold up the backline after Tom Williamson was selected for the AFL team for the first time since Round 5.

First-year draftees Jack Carroll and Corey Durdin round out the AFL-listed players that will take the field for the Carlton Reserves from 1pm on Saturday afternoon.

With both sides on the receiving end of a loss in Round 11, it'll be a key outing for each team as VFL football returns to Coburg City Oval.
