Caleb Marchbank was once again unlucky entering the 2023 season. Having to patiently bide his time on the sideline, the defender finally made his return to the senior team in Round 20 - slotting in seamlessly in what was a strong reminder to his followers of his importance to Carlton’s defensive mix.
Marchbank would go on to have an impact in Carlton’s three finals games, with his intercept marking and ability to rebound 50m effectively a true highlight of the team’s success.
The Club rewarded Marchbank’s resilience and ability to have an immediate impact with a one-year contract extension for 2024, where hopefully the 27-year-old can enjoy an injury-free season.
