Inaugural father-daughter selection Abbie McKay has emerged as one of Carlton’s key midfielders in recent years, emerging from a 2020 campaign where she didn’t feature at AFLW level to then play four consecutive seasons without missing a game.
Her breakout at the highest level has seen her finish runner-up in the Blues’ Best and Fairest for the last three campaigns as a crucial cog of the Blues’ on-ball brigade.
Named co-vice captain alongside Mimi Hill in 2024 and now sole captain in 2025, McKay will be looking for another strong season in the midfield and looking to use her growing leadership to drive standards amongst an emerging group.
