CHARLOTTE Brewer will officially call IKON Park home after she signed with Carlton as an injury replacement player after Eliza Wood was placed on the inactive list.

Featuring in every VFLW match for Collingwood this season, Brewer - who was predominantly playing as a negating defender - showed this year that she has the adaptability and skill to also play as a rebounding half-back.

Head of AFLW Ash Naulty said Brewer is a dynamic defender who plays with athleticism and flair.

“Charlotte’s VFLW campaign has been outstanding: she has consistently performed at a high level and shown she is a real fearless and selfless team player,” Ash Naulty said.  

“Charlotte is an extremely durable player. Despite missing out on her draft year, her desire to improve and put in the work to reach her dream of becoming an AFLW player has been really impressive.

“She has a great character and is a bubbly presence, which we know will be a seamless fit into our side and we cannot wait to welcome her to IKON Park.”
