Yesterday, close to 300 Carlton members and guests converged on Crown Casino for the Young Carlton Professionals (YCP) ‘Business Of Sport’ lunch.

Hosted by Andy Maher, the guests were treated to a star studded panel of speakers including newly appointed AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan, Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland and Fox Sports CEO Patrick Delaney.

The panel discussion included an exposition into the competitive marketplace that pay and free to air networks engage in for a slice of live sport, as well as the plans and processes both the AFL and Cricket Australia are putting in place to continue to protect the integrity of their respective sports.

Departing Carlton Football Club CEO Greg Swann and departing President Stephen Kernahan also provided the guests with a snapshot of the current state of the Club on and off the field, and reflected on the highs and lows from their time as administrators.

YCP have a number of events remaining on their calendar throughout 2014. For more information on how you can attend these events or sign up as a YCP member, go to http://www.ycp-cfc.com.au/ or check out YCP under the coteries section of our website.
