THE AFL has released the fixture for Rounds 12-15 have been released, with consecutive Friday and Thursday night blockbusters against big rivals.

With the Blues having a bye scheduled in Round 12, they'll be back in action on Friday 10 June, kicking off a string of Victorian games in the process.

Carlton will take on arch rivals Essendon at the home of footy at 7:50pm AEST on that Friday night, in a game where the Blues will be looking to spoil the Bombers' 150-year celebration party.

A big crowd is anticipated for the Round 13 clash, in what will mark the 251st meeting between the two sides: Carlton has recorded 126 wins to Essendon's 118, to go with six draws.

Six days later, Carlton will face off against Richmond for the second time in the 2022 season: just like Round 1, it will be a Thursday night affair at the MCG.

Having got on top of the Tigers last time they met to open their respective seasons, the Blues will be looking for a repeat performance after finally breaking their yellow-and-black drought.

Carlton will then host Fremantle at Marvel Stadium (its first home game in five weeks) on Saturday afternoon in Round 15, with the action kicking off at 1:45pm AEST.
