THERE are changes aplenty for Carlton ahead of their trip to St Kilda in the second encounter between the two sides this season.

The teams previously played in Round 2 where it was the Blues who held on for an impressive eight-point win against the now fourth-placed Saints.

There are three familiar faces returning to the line-up for the Blues this weekend: however, it’s the return of AFLW-listed Serena Gibbs which will be the main cause for joy for Carlton fans.

The tall forward will be adorning the Navy Blue for the first time in 2022, and she will be hoping to return with an impact.

Esther Honybun will return from injury, Lauren Suleiman will make her way back into the team for the first time since Round 8 and Rylie Wilcox will also come back in following her one-week absence from the side.

Carlton is now facing a steep uphill battle in its search for a finals berth this season and will now have to draw on its performance earlier in the season for the best chance to produce a result.

The Southern Saints will be far from pushovers however, with the home side coming into the match on the back of three wins in a row.

The match begins at 11am this Sunday at Trevor Barker Beach Oval.
