Carlton is set to further expand its list when the NAB AFL Rookie Draft gets underway later today.

The Blues are set to utilise five selections, including re-drafting 264-game veteran Heath Scotland.

Scotland was delisted by the Blues last month to give the Club three picks in last week’s National Draft.

As a Nominated Rookie, Scotland is still able to play every game next year.

In addition to Scotland, Carlton will use one of its picks to recruit Gaelic Football star Ciaran Sheehan.

Sheehan was a standout for Ireland in the recent International Rules Series.

He'll be joined by countryman Ciaran Byrne, who the Blues have committed to taking as an International Category B Rookie.

It leaves Carlton with three further picks in the Rookie Draft.

Jaryd Cachia will remain on Carlton's rookie list for 2014, while fellow 2013 rookies Ed Curnow and Tom Bell were upgraded to the senior list in last week’s National Draft.

The Blues will pass selections in the Pre-Season Draft as the Club has already filled its minimum quota of 38 primary-listed players, with veterans Jarrad Waite and Kade Simpson included on that list.
