CARLTON midfielder Abbie McKay has been awarded nine AFLCA votes for her dominant performance in the Game Changers’ Round 4 draw with Fremantle on Saturday.

Recording career-best disposal numbers for the third time in four weeks, McKay finished the match with 29 touches, including 19 contested possessions, alongside 10 clearances and eight tackles.

McKay continued her red-hot start to the season, with her Round 4 performance made all the more impressive due to limited rotations being available to the Blues, who were down two on the bench.

McKay was able to capitalise on the dominant ruckwork of Brea Moody, who was awarded five votes for her efforts.

Moody finished with 31 hitouts, 14 disposals and six marks as well as a piece of individual brilliance, taking the ball from a ruck contest deep in the Blues’ forward 50 and finishing with a goal which reclaimed the lead for the Game Changers.

Defender Mua Laloifi rounded out the votes for the Blues, receiving two votes for her performance which was pivotal in limiting the damage the Dockers were able to inflict during their first-half dominance.
