FRESH faces under Friday night lights.

Carlton has made four changes to its side set to take on Melbourne tomorrow night at IKON Park.

The Game Changers’ Round 5 side is headlined by the return of Serena Gibbs, who will play her first game since 2021.

Gibbs made her AFLW debut in Round 5 and went on to play three senior games in that season, providing a versatile option in the air for the Blues.

Joining Gibbs will be former All-Australian Christina Bernardi, who will make her Navy Blue debut after being elevated into Carlton's squad earlier this week.

After completing the pre-season as a train-on player, Bernardi will receive another chance at the top level after the Blues reached the minimum of 24 available players required to make the elevation.

Having kicked 30 career goals and leading Collingwood’s goalkicking in 2018, Bernardi will be a key target for the Blues, who will be without Phoebe McWilliams for the remainder of season seven due to a foot injury, while Darcy Vescio is also set to miss this week with a fractured finger.

The return of Natalie Plane and inclusion of Charlotte Hammans’ for her first game of season seven rounds out the Blues’ quartet of changes, with Amelia Velardo and Paige Trudgeon both to miss due to concussion protocols.
