FIRST looks.

Taking on the Pies at 11am (AEDT) tomorrow, it will be the Blues first chance to put their pre-season learnings to the test against another opposition, with fans having the opportunity to see some of the new Blues in action.

Entry is free and refreshments will be available on site at IKON Park.

The game will follow a 20-minute four-quarter format, with the Carlton Reserves playing the Collingwood VFL side from 2pm.

Players listed across both the AFL and VFL sides (Lochie O'Brien, Matt Kennedy, Lachie Plowman, Josh Honey, Alex Cincotta and Alex Mirkov) will have their game time managed to ensure they play enough minutes across both games.

New recruits Jaxon Binns, Harry Lemmey and Hudson O’Keeffe have been listed in the VFL side, giving them the opportunity to show what they’ve got in their early days in the Navy Blue.

Mitch McGovern will miss the simulation after receiving a knee to the back during match simulation, however being on light duties for a he has already returned to full training and is expected to be available for the Sydney practice match next week.

Small forwards Matt Owies and Corey Durdin were recently managed with hamstring tightness but are likely to play against Sydney, while David Cuningham dislocated his shoulder this week, with the Club currently working through the best path for his recovery, which should be known by the middle of next week.

Caleb Marchbank and Jack Martin both played half a match simulation last week and have been in full training as part of their individual programs to be ready for the start of the season, whilst Lachie Fogarty is expected to play in a VFL practice match before the season starts as he remains on track from his return from a back injury.
