Dylan Buckley will be unavailable until Round 12 of the AFL season after being suspended for the Northern Blues on the weekend.

Buckley, who was playing his second consecutive game in the VFL, was cited for rough conduct in the second quarter against Williamstown’s Leigh Masters.

The report had been graded as careless conduct, medium impact and high conduct, giving Buckley the offer of a three-game suspension, reduced to two matches with an early guilty plea.

It was Buckley’s second offence, having been cited for a similar offence against the Casey Scorpions the week prior.

Complicating matters is that the Northern Blues have a bye in Round 8, meaning Buckley won’t be available until the second week of June.

Buckley will be available for selection for the Northern Blues in Round 10 against Box Hill, missing the next two clashes against Coburg and Frankston.
