THE AFL has released the fixtures for the 2024 VFL season (Rounds 1-13) and the VFLW season.

Carlton’s VFL team start the season off with a bye, aligning with that of the AFL team.

The 21-round season will begin for the Carlton Reserves in Round 2 on Good Friday against North Melbourne at Arden Street: it’ll be a triple-header of Roos-Blues action (VFLW, VFL and AFL).

There’ll be a competition bye the week after, with the VFL and SANFL playing a state representative game during Gather Round.

A long time coming, Carlton fans can head to IKON Park to support the Blues with a trio of home games following. The first of three matches in a row at IKON Park will see Carlton face Collingwood in a Sunday afternoon thriller, before the Blues will then take on Port Melbourne and Geelong in Rounds 4 and 5 respectively.

In Round 6 the reserves will head out to Avalon Airport Oval, on Saturday 4 May to take on last year’s Grand Finalists in Werribee.

Carlton will then host the Casey Demons in Round 7 on Friday at 5:10pm, immediately preceding the big Friday night AFL clash between the Blues and Dees that night.

After heading to DSV Stadium in Round 8 to take on Williamstown, the Carlton Reserves will host premiers Gold Coast at IKON Park - the venue where it won the 2023 VFL Grand Final - in what will also be a Super Saturday doubleheader with the VFLW side.

Rounds 10 and 11 are both away games for the Reserves, taking on Northern Bullants and Essendon respectively, prior to a Round 12 bye.

The Carlton Reserves will then head back home to IKON Park to host Southport on 22 June, making it six times in the opening 13 rounds where the Blues will play on Royal Parade.

The first chance to see the VFL Blues in action will come on Thursday 22 February, when it takes on Geelong follow the AFL match simulation between the respective sides.

The 14-round season will begin for Carlton on Saturday 23 March when it takes on Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.

The first home game at IKON Park comes in Round 3 against the GWS on Saturday afternoon, followed by a massive Round 4 game against the 2023 Grand Finalists Collingwood on a big weekend of Blues-Pies action.

The Carlton Reserves then head back to IKON Park on Saturday 20 April against reigning premiers - and last year’s semi-final adversaries - in Port Melbourne.

In Round 7, the Blues meet Geelong again, but this time on Carlton’s home turf at IKON Park.

Round 10 will feature a home doubleheader with the VFL side and is the first of two consecutive Saturday matches at IKON Park, with the Blues taking on Box Hill Hawks and Casey Demons respectively.

The Blues will end their 2024 VFLW home-and-away season campaign with two huge Sunday matches: Carlton will first face Southern Saints before returning the next week to take on Darebin.
