PRIDE Round returns for the second time.

Carlton will continue to celebrate inclusivity and diversity within football and sport in their second annual Pride Round. The VFLW has committed to supporting players, coaches and staff who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Already halfway through the VFLW season, the Blues will look to get their second win in a row against the Darebin Falcons who are still wanting to get their first win on the board.

This day will be significant for several players with many identifying as part of the community being celebrated on Saturday.

Pride is a strong presence within the Club with the official supporter group Carlton Pride being established in 2017. The group fosters a socially inclusive group for the LGBTQIA+ fans and allies within the Blues family and overall AFL community.

A notable omission from the squad is Co-Captain Octavia Di Donato who will serve a suspension after an incident during the fourth quarter in last week’s win.

In other news, Emily Hurley has been shifted into her familiar position as a forward with stalwart Jemma Stokes returning from her hand injury. Before being ruled out for four weeks, Stokes was one of Carlton’s best on the field as their first ruck.

Last week's debutants Evie Lee and Hannah Scott remain in the side after impressive performances in Carlton’s three-point win over Geelong. Montmorency product Matilda Fitzgerald has been given the nod and will join the game-day squad in their backline.

Natasha Phipps, Amelie Moore and Mia Haas have been named as the emergencies this week.

Carlton will travel to Preston City Oval on Saturday to face Darebin, kicking off at 10:15am.
