CARLTON has named a trio of additions for Saturday’s crunch clash with Brisbane.
Taking on one of the toughest trips in AFLW football, the Blues know there’ll be ramifications for their finals campaign either way depending on the result in Queensland.
The Blues have turned to a mixture of experience and youth, with three changes to the side which enjoyed a gritty win over the Giants last week.
Lila Keck will play her first game since Round 5, with the young small forward returning from a foot injury to add some spark to the Carlton front half.
She’s not alone, with first-year Blue Tayla McMillan also named to return after missing last weekend.
Rounding out the inclusions is Gab Pound, with the inaugural Blue likely to be a popular addition to the Blues back half against a dangerous Lions attack.
Maddy Hendrie and Jess Good have both been managed for the Round 12 clash, while Aisling Reidy has been omitted.
The Round 12 clash will mark the 50th AFLW game in the career of Nell Morris-Dalton after previous stints at the Western Bulldogs and Collingwood, while it will also be the first time that the Blues' 2026 draftees Lily Baxter and Tayla McMillan will play an AFLW game together.
The game will commence at 5:05pm AEDT (4:05pm local time).
