CARLTON has made three changes for Saturday’s return to Adelaide Oval.
In the second of three trips to the weekend’s venue in the 2025 season, the Blues have recalled their three emergencies from last weekend with three forced outs.
Jack Silvagni (hand) and Zac Williams (calf) were declared unavailable earlier in the week, while Matthew Cottrell was withdrawn from the trip to Adelaide on Thursday due to an ankle injury that saw him unable to complete main training. His recovery will be assessed early next week.
Replacing Silvagni in a key defensive post could be Lewis Young, with the native South Australian performing a crucial utility role for the Blues at multiple stages already in 2025.
Lachie Cowan also returns for his first game since Round 4 after making a successful return from a hamstring injury in the VFL last week, while the Blues will also call upon the experience of Sam Docherty, who was best afield for the Carlton Reserves in a narrow win a week ago.
Playing game No.50 for the Blues will be Ollie Hollands, with the wingman-turned-defender missing just seven games for the Blues since he was drafted to his boyhood club in the first round of the 2022 AFL Draft.
